Once another almost two years had passed, Makoto Raiku sold the dubbing rights to Toei Animation. Cartoon Network aired the first episode on March 5, 2005. Nearly two years later, Fuji TV adapted the series into a TV show. On May 18, 2001, the very first volume of Konjiki no Gash!! hit the bookshelves, leaving thousands of fans clamoring for more. Eventually, Raiku decided to change this to weekly, seeing as the story was progressing too slowly. Afterward, the series began progressing chapter by chapter, on a monthly basis. "Kiyomaro, Ally of Justice") was first published on January 10, 2001. The very first chapter, titled Operation "Hero of Justice" (清麿、正義の味方 Kiyomaro, Seigi no Mikata, lit. Thus, the series Konjiki no Gash!! was born. Raiku was reluctant to try the idea, but he ended up taking his agent's advice. After bringing up the idea to his agent, his agent suggested that he try using a "cuter" character. There were other people with other knights, and they would all do battle against one another. He eventually came up with the idea of a series where a boy named Kiyomaro Takamine finds a toy knight ( Gash Bell) which has the ability to transform into a real knight. The (English) rating is 8+, so you can't expect much in the line of blood or violence, even despite the battles, and the show in itself seems to be a tad bit notorious for the reuse of animation sequences where possible, but all in all, it's entertaining.Makoto Raiku, the author of the original "Konjiki no Gash!!" MangaĪfter Makoto Raiku's first comic ended in the Shogakukan Shonen newspaper, he scrambled to come up with new ideas. The author (of the manga series that this show was based on) has sort of a strange sense of humor, and it even shows through in the toned-down English version of the series. It's not perfect, but the characters are entertaining, and the plot becomes more engaging the further into the series you go. However, Zatch retains almost nothing of his memory from before he was rescued by Kiyo's father, and thus Kiyo ends up entangled in a bit of a mess upon discovering who and what Zatch really is.

Zatch's job is to help Kiyo learn to make friends. The professor sends Zatch to Japan to meet his son, Kiyo- a fourteen year old genius who's about as arrogant as they get. The professor saves his life, and the boy, whose name turns out to be Zatch Bell, thereafter feels indebted to him, insisting he repay the favor. While in England, Professor Takamine comes upon a boy in the middle of a forest, dying. Reminiscent of shows such as Pokemon, Zatch Bell features a lot of versus battles.
